About Me

Hi, I'm Moobe Pretorius Chikanda, a Computer Science student specializing in Systems Engineering at the University of Zambia.

I'm passionate about building businesses, investing, technology, and lifelong learning. But more than anything, I'm fascinated by the process of turning ideas into something that creates real value.

Where It All Started

My interest in investing began after reading Robert Kiyosaki's Cashflow Quadrant. The book changed how I thought about money and introduced me to the idea that financial freedom comes from building assets instead of simply earning a salary.

That curiosity eventually led me down the path of entrepreneurship.

In 2023, after reading M.J. DeMarco's The Millionaire Fastlane, I discovered affiliate marketing and became convinced that it was a business model worth pursuing.

On 15 August 2023, I launched my first affiliate marketing website, moobepc.com, hosted on Hostinger. I gave myself one year to make it profitable.

It didn't happen.

Learning Through Failure

Looking back, the biggest problem wasn't effort—it was knowledge.

I didn't understand keyword research, search engine optimization (SEO), content strategy, or copywriting. I thought publishing articles would be enough, but I quickly learned that creating content people actually find requires a completely different skill set.

Instead of quitting, I decided to learn.

I enrolled in courses, studied SEO, practiced copywriting, and spent countless hours trying to understand digital marketing. Progress was slower than I expected, but every mistake taught me something new.

A Brief Copywriting Career

In 2025, I joined Avacasa, an Indian company that helps people find holiday homes and invest in real estate, as an intern copywriter.

Unfortunately, my internship didn't last. I was eventually let go after being considered unserious.

While disappointing, that experience forced me to reflect on discipline, consistency, and professionalism—lessons that continue to shape how I approach my work today.

Starting Again

Rather than giving up, I kept learning.

In February 2026, I launched another affiliate marketing project. Whether it succeeds or becomes another lesson remains to be seen, but I've realized that entrepreneurship isn't about avoiding failure—it's about improving after every setback.

Along the way, I've also started and abandoned multiple projects, including:

  • Affiliate marketing websites
  • A YouTube channel
  • A Facebook page
  • Several startup ideas built using tools like Lovable, Bolt, and Replit

Most of them didn't work.

But every project made me a little better than the last.

Why I Created This Website

This website exists because I know what it's like to start with enthusiasm and very little direction.

My goal is to document what I'm learning about:

  • Building online businesses
  • Affiliate marketing
  • SEO and content strategy
  • Copywriting
  • Productivity tools
  • Solopreneurship
  • Technology
  • Investing

Rather than pretending to have all the answers, I prefer sharing practical insights from someone actively figuring things out. Though I will mostly write on "TOOLS FOR SOLOPRENEURS."

Beyond Business

When I'm not studying or working on projects, you'll probably find me reading.

Books have been one of the biggest influences in my life, shaping how I think about money, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving. They continue to inspire the experiments and ideas that eventually become businesses—or valuable lessons.

I also have a strong interest in investing and enjoy exploring how great businesses are built and how long-term wealth is created.

The Journey Continues

I don't have a story of overnight success.

I have a story of trying, failing, learning, and trying again.

Every failed website, abandoned project, rejected idea, and difficult lesson has strengthened my belief that persistence matters more than perfection.

I'm still learning this entrepreneurship thing—one experiment at a time—and I hope that by sharing the journey honestly, others can learn from both my successes and my mistakes.

If you're building something of your own, welcome. We're figuring it out together.
